Really? I'll take that as a cool thing, since you answered...

We just saw Bound. I was really impressed. It's a really clean and uncomplicated caper flick with a nice love story and no moral lesson to beat you over the head. It's really sexy and subtle, and the direction is sweet. It's a little feminist in the feel, since all the characters are male except for the main two.

I'm really surprised it's not more well known.

It's a little violent and gruesome, but not gratuitiously. No shoot em up car chases etc. Mostly in your head, with one graphic scene to show the stakes. I liked it enough it think about buying it.

Now is the Simple Minds disk. That's probably not worth chatting about. It's a concert disk.

And while I do not subscribe to Netflix, next on my viewing list is Season 1 of How I Met Your Mother.

I am working on several series of Anime: Geneshaft, Code Geass 2, Naruto, Bleach, and Negima. I have the second season of Rome, first season of Bones, and a copy of the God Who Wasn't There. I am waiting on season 2 of Burn Notice to become available on DVD...

I am looking forward to the 9 Mar 09 release of Watchmen.

Sure

So, it was pretty much a let down. I liked some parts of it, the music, the opening monastery, but for the most part it was a common mediocre adaptation of a great novel. The only other Hesse novel I know of seeing adapted to the screen was Steppenwolf. That was a great movie In My Opinion. There just wasn't a lot of art to this one.

Not uncommon.

House of 1000 Corpses.

I had read it was shit. I heard it was shit. I expected it to be shit. But hey, Rob Zombie. <shrug>

Put it in last night expecting to fast forward through most of it, as it was gonna be shit.

My goodness--- it was a real fine b-grade horror. I enjoyed it. Wow.

Not gory, not OTT until the end, almost realistic, has a cute blond chick as a bad guy,



and so not based on Gein (like I've heard). I mean, wearing the skin of one of your victims is not "based on Gein". It's so Manson family... <shudder> Some scenes were lifted straight from the Manson story... Not just that, but they reference the Family at the start.

I mean, Hex, remember this?



Next is Frida or Fierce People...
